Lundin Mining Receives Extension of Credit Facility Waiver Period

TORONTO, ONTARIO –(Marketwire - June 4, 2009) - Lundin Mining Corporation (“Lundin Mining”) (TSX:LUN)(OMX:LUMI) today reported that its lending syndicate has extended to July 6, 2009 the waiver for non-compliance with the tangible net worth covenant. The extension was sought in order to provide lenders time to review the Company’s revised financial model, as well as allowing adequate time for the finalization of terms and completion of documentation.
