Each partner holds a 50% interest in Vicuña Corp., which is focused on unlocking the district’s long-term copper, gold, and silver potential. The Vicuña District lies between the Maricunga and El Indio belts and hosts four known copper-gold deposits, including Filo del Sol and Josemaria, located just 10 km apart. Work is underway to evaluate an integrated development approach for these assets.
Josemaria is a large-scale copper-gold porphyry system located in Argentina’s San Juan Province. The project is planned as a conventional open-pit operation with truck-and-shovel mining and standard crushing, grinding, and flotation processing.
Filo del Sol is a high-sulphidation epithermal copper-gold-silver deposit associated with a large porphyry system. The upper oxidized portion of the deposit has been advanced to pre-feasibility stage, while the deeper sulphide mineralization remains a compelling target for future development.
Together, these assets represent a significant opportunity to develop a district-scale copper-gold operation in one of the world’s most geologically promising regions.
